An agricultural heritage with a great diversity

Located on a 150-hectare site in Cabo Espichel, Etosoto Cabo d’Espichel is one of the most impressive and beautiful spots on the Costa Azul. This destination, away from the classic tourist routes and practically unknown to foreign visitors, is located 35 minutes by car south of Lisbon.

A no man’s land

The area, on the edge of the Natural Park of Arrábida, offers an essential richness of vegetation, one of the rare examples of Mediterranean maquis in Portugal. Due to its preservation, Arrábida is considered an authentic ecological relic internationally. Its wild terrain with vast cliffs offer incredible views and make it a perfect place for travelers to enjoy the natural landscapes. The spectacular coastline is undoubtedly the main attraction of this region, as well as the long beach accessible by bikes.

The area has many opportunities for you to discover the surroundings, including historic sites such as the lighthouse of Cabo Espichel, the sanctuary of Notre-Dame of Cabo Espichel, the small chapel Ermida da Memória, the footprints of dinosaurs and the city of Sesimbra and its castle. There are also many natural walking trails and beaches such as Praia da Baleeria, Praia do meco, Praia das Bicas and Pria da Mijona and Lake Albufeira.
